Zaw Lin Oo, About My Hometown
Have you ever been to Minbya town, Rakhine State, Myanmar.
There are lots of interesting and unique places in Minbya. I believe that if you visit here, you will also love it. Minbya town is a commercial center with near many other towns in Rakhine State. Kyintowm pagoda, one of the historical sites in Rakhine State, is located in Minbya town. From the top of this mountain, you can enjoy the beautiful scenery of Minbya. And then there is a bridge called the RarMaung Bridge. The bridge is a commerical linking Arakan State and many other areas. Then there is a bridge called KyitZin Bridge. The bridge is connected to Minbya and other towns in Rakhine State. Then there are many beautiful dams and reservoirs. Also there are many other places to stay and visit. And then other ethnic groups live in Minbya township. (like a Chin, Monslan, Dinat and Maramagyi). Minbya people are very simple and kindness.
But righ now it's not good time. Because, now, the whole of Arakan State is complicated by civil war. Including my hometown. So I'm really sorry. So, I think we cann't visit now. So I want to say one thing. I think you know the aftermath of the civil war. Every day, young and old die. We are not completely safe. Ok When it was a good time for us, I invited you to come to our town. I believe if you get there, you will never go back. But no matter i will invite to everyone.
